1991-92 Mario Lemieux Game Issued "Three Patch" Jersey
From the 1991-92 Pittsburgh Penguins season, this jersey was issued to Magnificant Mario Lemieux. It is possible that this was worn for a game or two but with such minimal use, we feel more comfortable calling it game-issued. This is a very desirable year, as the Pens won the Stanley Cup. The black top is all original with Maska and "54" size tag in collar. The left shoulder bears an embroidered patch honoring the late Badger Bob Johnson, with the opposite sporting a Penguins 25th Anniversary patch. The NHL 75th Anniversary patch is on the right shoulder, with "Lemieux" stitched on a plate and his iconic number 66 on back and both sleeves. His captain's "C" is on the left shoulder, completing this very desirable specimen.
