1991-92 Ron Francis Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey
The mythical three-patcher! Ron Francis' hammered jersey from the 1991-92 Pittsburgh Penguins Championship season is littered with commemorative patches. The left shoulder holds the Badger Bob Memorial patch with the team's 25th anniversary patch on the opposite side. A crest marking the National Hockey League's 75th year is displayed on the right breast with evidence of the removal of an "A" on the other breast. Washed out Maska tag in the neck. This one shows fantastic wear! Dozens of black stick marks and slashes on the body and arms with a number of decent board burns and five repair patches. This jersey was also worn previously during the 1989-90 season. The team removed the "A" and 1990 All Star patch and changed the NOB due to a switch in nameplate style, then added the three newer patches to make it ready for Francis for the 1991-92 season. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Byrons Hockeyland and another from Joe Tomon detailing the team alterations.
