Disaster struck on Dec. 30, 1986, when the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL were en route to a game. Their bus crashed, killing four players. Two jerseys from that team, both carrying the rare four leaf clover patch on the right sleeves that is in memory of the four players killed. The patches were removed from the jerseys before they were discarded, making an original jersey with the original patch very rare. Also, both have a WHL Anniversary patch on the chest. Player numbers are 14 and 27. Both show heavy game use with stick marks, board burns, and cuts. Both are Maska Ultrafil, one a size 50 and the other 52. Both have name plates removed from the backs.
