1991 Phil Bourque Stanley Cup Finals Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey (Bourque LOA)

1991 Phil Bourque Stanley Cup Finals Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey (Bourque LOA)

Phil Bourque played parts of 13 seasons in the NHL, mostly for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Offered is his game worn jersey from the 1990-91 Stanley Cup finals. Bourque, a distant cousin of NHL great defenseman Ray Bourque, was a left wing/defenseman who played 477 NHL games, scoring 88 goals and adding 111 assists for 199 points. In the 1990-91 season, Pittsburgh won the Stanley Cup, defeating the Minnesota North Stars 4-2 in games, with the Stanley Cup finale an 8-0 rout of Minnesota at the North Star's Metropolitan Center. In that '90-'91 campaign, Bourque scored 20 goals and added 14 assists for 34 points and in the playoffs he had 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points. The black road jersey has gold and white trim. On the chest is a sewn on Penguins emblem. On the right chest is a sewn on 1991 Stanley Cup Championship patch. The neck has a Maska manufacturer's tag that has Bourque's number "29" handwritten by an unknown hand in black marker. The aforementioned tag shows the jersey to be 100% polyester. There is a fight strap, and tags for "CCM" and the "NHL" are sewn on the lower back. Each sleeve has a sewn on "29" in black numerals. The back has a sewn on black nameplate with sewn on gold letters reading 'BOURQUE." The back has "29" in gold numerals with white trim, sewn on. The jersey is in very good condition, yet it shows excellent use, with markings from tape or pucks, and some loose threads and a few small stains. The jersey comes right from Phil Bourque and a LOA from Phil Bourque will be included. Bourque is now a color commentator on Pittsburgh Penquins' radio broadcasts, and he is known on his radio broadcasts as "Ol' Two-Niner," referencing the jersey number of this fan favorite. A game worn Stanley Cup winner's jersey from Phil Bourque will add spice to any collection.
