1992 N.L.C.S. Game 7 Used Baseball
Imagine a younger, pre-Giant Barry Bonds’ palms on this well-worn Official National League (White) ball, throwing from left field to his Pittsburgh Pirate teammate, catcher Mike Lavalliere, chasing the impossibly gutsy Atlanta Brave Sid Bream making an against-all-odds dash for home plate from second base to score the game-winning and series-clinching run in the 9th inning of Game 7 (with 2 outs!) of the National League Championship Series of 1992. Yes, this ball could very well be that ball, for it is one of the baseballs used in that most memorable of deciding games in baseball history. Saved by, and signed (on sweet spot) by Major League home plate umpire. The ball shows good use and was also scored (“Atlanta - 3, Pittsburgh -2”), notated (“To Jeff, My Buddy, Best Wishes, Always…”), and dated (“Game7, 1992, NLCS”) . Comes with an 11x14 color photo (copy) of Sid Bream scoring the winning run in the 9th inning, and a Letter of Authenticity. Bream and his Braves were rewarded for their go-for-broke playing, and this is a true memento from that magic game.
