1993 Dermontti Dawson Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched)
Dermontti Dawson was taken in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft as the successor to Steelers Hall of Fame center Mike Webster, and he filled Webster's shoes with self-confidence & assurance. In his rookie year, he played guard alongside Webster, but following Webster's retirement at the end of the season, he was moved to center, where he played for the next 12 years. A life-long Steeler, Dawson was a seven-time Pro Bowler, first-team All-Pro six times, and was named to the NFL's 1990s All-Decade Team & Steelers All-Time Team. He was later elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012. This white, road jersey was game worn by Dawson in the 1993 season and shows incredible use. The jersey has paint transfers, loose threads, abrasions, scuffs and custom sleeves, as well as 17 team repairs. It has an NFL 75th Anniversary patch on the left shoulder, and "93" year and Starter size 50 tags on the tail. It also has seamed shoulders and has been photo-matched to an undated image. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
