Unique sports art. 1994 "Triple Crown Winners" lithograph by LeRoy Neiman. Signed by Mickey Mantle with "1956" inscription, Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski "1967," Frank Robinson "1966," and LeRoy Neiman. Mantle's Triple Crown season was 1956 when he hit .353 with 52 homers and 130 RBI. Yaz had his Triple Crown season in 1967 when the Red Sox legend hit .326 with 44 dingers and 121 RBI. Frank Robinson won his Crown in 1966 when as a Baltimore Oriole he hit .316 with 49 round-trippers and 122 RBI. And now for Ted Williams. Always larger than life, Williams won the Triple Crown twice! In the first season after the start of World War II, he won in 1942 when he batted .356 with 36 home runs and he knocked in 137. Then he went off to the war as a United States Marine pilot, came back after the war and after getting back into the swing of things, hit ..343, crashed 32 homers and had 114 RBI to win the Triple Crown a second time in 1947. These Triple Crown winners got together in Atlantic City in 1994. Neiman's famous trademark surrealistic style with splashy use of color is well evident in his work here. The lithographs of Williams, Yaz, and Robinson are each approximately 5x8" and the lithograph of Mantle is approximately 6x6". Entire lithograph framed at 22x27.5". Each signature is bold and clearly written in blue felt tipped marker. Signatures 8/10.
