1994 Mickey Mantle Handwritten Sport Legend Award Acceptance Speech (PSA)
Mickey Mantles hand written acceptance speech notes from when he was given the Sports Legends Award at the 8th Annual Franciscan Health Care Games benefit. From Mantles notes, it appears that he mentioned the home run chase with Maris in 1961. Mantle wrote, "Following Jerry like following Roger Maris the year he hit 61 Hr's there's no way." The speech notes are written in blue (9/10) on a page that Mantle ripped from the program moments before he spoke. The page has minor paper loss along the ripped edge and it also appears to have been folded by Mantle, perhaps put in his pocket. Comes with program and is certified PSA.
