With four seconds remaining in a close match between the Kings and the Devils, Wayne Gretzky took a pass from linemate Jari Kurri and found the twine at the back of Jersey's vacant net. Having promised a goal puck to a member of the training staff, Wayne ensured that the puck was retrieved and flipped it to head trainer Peter Miller for safekeeping.
