1995-96 Patrick Flatley New York Islanders "Fisherman" Game Worn Jersey - First Year Style and Matched to Second Game of Season! (Photo-Matched)

Rare design in this 1995-96 New York Islanders jersey game worn by team captain Patrick Flatley. This was from the two-year period in which the Islanders attempted to pay tribute to Long Island's fishing heritage by incorporating a "fisherman" into the new teal, orange, navy, and white logo design, which is across the chest. Lighthouse logo patches are on each shoulder with CCM and size 54 collar tagging. Captain's "C" is on left breast in white-on-orange-and-teal, number 26 is on each sleeve and back in same style. Name in all white lettering is on a plate above the rear number. All original with superb use displayed including pilling, stick marks, burns, and paint transfers, as well as numerous team repairs on the elbows and a sewn seam on the left shoulder at the collar. This jersey represents the last of Flatley's 13 years with the Isles, where he was a fan favorite. Though the Fisherman jersey style was often ridiculed at the time, history has been kind to it and the franchise has even incorporated it into this season's "Reverse Retro" alternate jersey.

PHOTO-MATCH: This jersey has been photo-matched to the second game of the 1995-96 season, on October 10th against the Toronto Maple Leafs (Getty 882024920).
