1995 Carnell Lake Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey

1995 Carnell Lake Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey

A jersey with an interesting history, this white Pittsburgh Steelers road top was game worn by Carnell Lake during the 1995 season. It displays super use with a handful of customizations and team repairs, but it‚s also not exactly what it appears to be as this is actually a Starter jersey that has been turned into a Nike jersey. The body is a Starter but when the Steelers changed to Nike this was turned into a Nike; the numbers were replaced with Nike numbers and the outline of the larger Starter numbers can still be seen. The Starter logo has been removed and Nike swooshes were added on the shoulders as even the Starter size tag was replaced with the Nike tag, indicating that this was worn for multiple years. Nike Pro Line size 46 and "95" tags are on the tail, embroidered Steelers patch is on the left breast and number 36 is on the front, back and sleeves. "LAKE" is in solid black letters sewn on a plate. The talented safety earned Pro Bowl kudos in his 13-year career, spent with the Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Baltimore Ravens. Sourced directly from the Pittsburgh Steelers.Never before has a major sports franchise opened its team archives going back nearly a century. Let alone a franchise as historic as the Pittsburgh Steelers.Founded in 1933 by Art Rooney Sr., the Rooney Family imprint remains to this day. From the glory of the Steel Curtain to an NFL-best six Lombardi trophies, the Pittsburgh Steelers name defines excellence and winning. We present the latest offering of “The Pittsburgh Steelers Archive of Exceptional Jerseys.” For decades, the Pittsburgh Steelers have guarded and saved their own equipment, thereby creating a huge void in the sports marketplace. As a result, the Pittsburgh Steelers have become the crème de la crème.
