1995 Wayne Gretzky Signed Limited-Edition Warner Bros. Animation Cel (Upper Deck)
Large-format limited-edition Warner Bros. "Looney Tunes" animation cel signed by Wayne Gretzky This is a modern classic and the first example we have ever handled. The hockey-themed cel, issued in 1995, features an actual photo of Gretzky integrated within the animated scene. Gretzky is seen facing off on the ice against Bugs Bunny, as referee Elmer Fudd gets set to drop the puck. Gretzky has beautifully signed the cel in black Sharpie (grading "10") along the base. Hand numbered "718/750" in black marker in the lower right corner. As noted in the accompanying Warner Bros. LOA, each cel was signed by Gretzky under the auspices of Upper Deck (the company's hologram label is affixed to the front, in the lower left corner). The cel (16x13"; visible dimensions), which remains in apparent Mint condition, has been matted and framed to total dimensions of 26x23".
