Game issued 1996-97 Mario Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins jersey is of the professional style Super Mario wore during that season, though we are calling this game issued because of a variance in the tagging. It is the correct size and construction for Mario but there is no proof that it was actually worn by him - it could have been one of the first Starter jerseys and worn in preseason - anything is possible. Although it shows some stick marks and pilling, it has "Made in El Salvador" on the size label, thus we are offering this with the "game issued" designation. White top has yellow shoulders and black trim; collar tagging includes Starter, NHL Authentic, NHL Player, and size 56-R. Penguin triangle crest is on chest, name and number 66 are in black-on-yellow tackle twill, name is on a plate.
