1996-97 Wayne Gretzky New York Rangers Game Used Skates
Battered pair of Nike Zoom Air boots and blades carried the Great One around the rink during his first season in New York. Custom sizing (6 3/4 EA and 7 1/4 EAA) although they seem to measure out the same size. The rolled tongues are a Gretkzy trademark as are the black Perfecta blade holders, Wayne's preferred style dating back to 1980. Well worked-in with numerous marks and slashes… no doubt this pair felt good on those famous feet. From the collection of Former Rangers equipment manager Mike Folga.
