1996 Dale Hunter Washington Capitals Game Worn Jersey (Davious Photo-Matched LOA)

1996 Dale Hunter Washington Capitals Game Worn Jersey (Davious Photo-Matched LOA)

Tremendous use is evident throughout this 1995-96 Washington Capitals jersey game worn by popular two-way center Dale Hunter. Photo-matched to March 31st of 1996 (Getty 135487782), this white home jersey is all original with Maska Air-Knit and size 54 tagging in collar and Washington Capitals Cutting Edge Sports Set 1 1995-96 stamped inside on the crest area. Front bears the captain's "C" on the left breast, Capital Dome logo patch on each sleeve, "Capitals" strip on bottom black stripe (in white), and screaming eagle logo crest across the chest, all in blue, black, and bronze. Number 32 is on sleeves and back, name is on a plate above rear number, all in black-on-white-and-bronze. Loose threads are scattered across both sides, a massive amount of pilling is displayed on both the front and inside, a small unrepaired cut is present at the right hip, and other use includes stick marks, burns, and a team repair. Though Hunter averaged over 20 goals per year over his first 13 NHL seasons, he was also known as an outstanding defensive forward, and his rough, feisty style of play made him a challenge to opponents and a favorite of hometown fans across his 19-year career. This jersey is a perfect representation of that hard-nosed style of play, a fitting reminder. Photo-matched by Davious Photo-Matched and comes with their LOA.
