1997 Hartford Whalers Final-Game Original Broadside
Original broadside heralding the final game in Connecticut for the Hartford Whalers on April 13, 1997. The lettering, done in the team's blue-and-green colors, reads "Hartford Whalers Versus Tampa Bay Lightning Hartford Civic Center April 13, 1997 Last Connecticut Game." A large team photo of the club appears along the top. The Whalers went out with a win on that historic night, defeating Tampa Bay 2-1. The Hartford Civic Center was home to the Whalers from 1975 to 1997 before the team left Connecticut after the 1996-1997 season to become the Carolina Hurricanes. The broadside (13.75x21.75") displays light surface wear and is in apparent Excellent condition.
