1998-99 Peter Forsberg Colorado Avalanche Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched, MeiGray)

1998-99 Peter Forsberg Colorado Avalanche Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched, MeiGray)

Known for his elite combination of skill and physical play, Peter Forsberg almost single-handedly redefined the "European" style of hockey, making him an easy Hall of Fame choice. This all-original home white jersey was game-worn by Forsberg in the 1998-99 season and has been photo-matched to March 20th, 1999 when the Avalanche tied the Blackhawks 5-5. In this game Forsberg had an assist. Shows heavy use with plenty of stick marks, paint transfers, pulls and a few small rips and burns. Starter tag is in the collar with 56R-8-21 strip tag below, "II" on Starter tag (indicating set 2). The Swedish legend's number "21" is on back and sleeves, with "FORSBERG" sewn on a plate on the back and also signed on the back in 7/10 black Sharpie. Starter and NHL logos are embroidered on the maroon tail, fight strap is present and intact. Forsberg had 30 goals in that All-Star season and two years later, he helped the Avalanche win their second Stanley Cup title. Comes with LOA from MeiGrey Group and has been photo-matched.
