1998 Wayne Gretzky Signed Game Ready Stick
Tremendous game-ready but unused 1998 stick signed by Wayne Gretzky. Hespeler 5500 left-handed stick has GRETZKY stamped on the shaft, and writing on the wood atop the butt end reads, "vs. Caps - 1-3-98 - NHL# - MF." The Great One has signed along with his uniform number in immaculate 10/10 fine point Sharpie across the blade, which has no tape. There is also a black stamp on the shaft just above the blade that is difficult to read but appears to be "95 - 7" which could be the manufacture date. Though this stick didn't see action, Gretzky certainly did, netting two goals in his New York Rangers' 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals.
