1999 Mats Sundin Worn Hall of Fame Game Jersey
Worn by Leafs’ captain, Mats Sundin for the 1999 inaugural Hall of Fame game. The Toronto Maple Leafs, led by Mats Sundin prevailed over the New York Rangers, 4-3 in OT. A breathtaking style with large “Toronto Maple Leafs” leaf sewn onto the front with two patches just below the right shoulder. Top is “Hockey Hall of Fame Game Induction Weekend November 20, 1999” patch and bottom is “2NHL”. Captain’s “C” sewn above the heart. Back is “Sundin” in extra thick lettering across the straight nameplate with an enormous “13” below adorned with white trim. Each sleeve also bears his number in same style. Each shoulder bears a blue & white Maple Leaf. Stylish netting under each arm runs down the sides of the jersey to allow for more ventilation. “CCM” embroidered onto the back tail along with the official black NHL crest with silver embroidery. An additional tag is added to the inside of the back tail with embroidered “Nov 20, 1999 Game Worn Hockey Hall of Fame Game” in blue thread. Additional “CCM” and [size] 56 flag tags in the collar.
