1999 Real Quiet Pimlico-Winning Special Saddle Cloth
A horse can't come any closer to winning the vaunted Triple Crown than Real Quiet did in 1998, having captured the Kentucky Derby and Preakness before falling four inches short of the elusive feat at the Belmont Stakes. One year later, the thoroughbred won the Grade 1 Pimlico Special, during which he wore this royal blue saddle cloth with his number 5 and name screen-printed in white. "PIMLICO SPECIAL" adorns the bottom edge in red letters. The cloth shows nice use. Real Quiet was nicknamed "The Fish" on account of his narrow frame.
