1999 World Champion New York Yankees Team-Signed Baseball w/Jeter & Steinbrenner (JSA)
In 1999, the New York Yankees (98-64) claimed their second of three straight World Series when they swept the Atlanta Braves in four straight games. This specific championship marked the Yankees’ 25th overall World Series title. The team, managed by Joe Torre, was led by the likes of Roger Clemens, Tino Martinez, Paul O’Neill, Bernie Williams, Scott Brosius and, of course, the Core Four: Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte, and Mariano Rivera. This lot offers an OAL (Budig) Rawlings baseball signed by 26 members of the Yankees from that memorable season. Autographed across the sweet spot by Torre, the ball boasts other notable signatures including team owner George Steinbrenner, Orlando Hernandez, Jeter, Clemens, Posada, Pettitte, Martinez, Rivera, and O’Neill. The autographs are all in blue ballpoint ink and the ball shows some slight toning. Comes with LOA from JSA.
