2000 Cal Ripken Jr. 3,000th Hit Full Ticket PSA GEM MT 10
Minnesota Twins full ticket to the April 15, 2000, game against the Baltimore Orioles in which Cal Ripken Jr. recorded his 3,000th hit. Graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. Ripken entered the game three hits shy of 3,000, but he was up for the challenge and managed three hits in five bats. His historic 3,000th hit came in the seventh inning with two outs and no one on base against reliever Hector Carrasco. Ripken laced a clean single to center and as he reached first the game was stopped while he received a thunderous standing ovation from the crowd. At the time, Ripken was just one of twenty-four players ever to record 3,000 career hits. He retired after the 2001 season with 3,184 lifetime hits, placing him 16th on the all-time list. This is an outstanding pristine full ticket commemorating one of Cal Ripken Jr.'s most important career milestones.
