2000 Playoff Contenders Football Uncut Sheet with Round Numbers Tom Brady Autograph Rookie - Only Known Example
Pair of 2000 Playoff Contenders uncut sheets, including a Tom Brady round numbers rookie offering. Each sheet measures approximately 40x25" and is blank-backed, with one representing the "front" of the card and the other for the "back." Also included are Touchdown Tandems and Contenders Quads sets. Cards are printed on a metallic backing and because of their size the sheets are a bit unwieldy to handle, thus an unfortunate crease crosses one of the two, impacting the Brady card as well as the adjacent Brian Urlacher rookie card. The actual distributed cards were signed, though these obviously weren't as they were not for distribution. Still, this is a rookie Brady offering not quite like any other as we are unaware of any other sheets like this available for purchase. Trivia note - also included is the Marc Bulger San Francisco 49ers rookie card, which is the opposite side of Brady's card in the actual set. Both are listed appropriately as 6th round draft picks, though closer examination indicates that Brady was actually intended to be the rear card of the pair, a statement of how each was perceived at the time.
