2001 Barry Bonds First Home Run Bat of the Record Season (34")

2001 Barry Bonds First Home Run Bat of the Record Season (34")

One down, seventy-two to go! Historic lumber launched the first shot of a war that would end with total world domination. Nobody could have known that Opening Day at Candlestick Park that this bat would come to be as significant as it did, but now it has undeniably been proven as one of the very best Bonds bats on the face of the earth. Ultra-rare "Sam Bat" with the mahogany handle and ebony barrel is a collector's dream even without a homer in it. All the details you want are in gold on the barrel: "San Francisco Giants, Barry Bonds, Bonds 2K1, Rideau Crusher." Punishing use with significant handle crack assures us that this was no one-hit wonder either. Handle is still wrapped, and grungy with pine tar. Cup at end of barrel has handwritten manufacturer's notes: "34" 32 oz., 03.09.01, Bonds B.B." And, best of all, is Bonds' silver sharpie signature and inscription reading, "4-2-01, #495." Check your records and you'll see that, sure enough, Bonds took the Padres deep that Opening Day for number one of 2001. Authenicating sticker and LOA from Bonds himself closes out the package. A monumental piece.
