2001 Cal Ripken Jr. Baltimore Orioles Signed Professional Model Jersey Gifted to Cito Gaston

"You could be a kid for as long as you want when you play baseball," said Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. about the game he loved, and the game he played for so long. Known as "The Iron Man", Ripken loved playing baseball so much that despite numerous injuries and illnesses, he wanted to play every day. And for 2,632 games he did play every game, breaking Lou Gehrig's consecutive game record of 2,130. Ripken played 21 Big League seasons, all with the Baltimore Orioles. Primarily a shortstop, and then late in his career a third baseman, Ripken hit 431 home runs out of his 3,184 hits. The 19-time All-Star won two Gold Gloves, eight Silver Slugger Awards, was a 2-time AL MVP, and was part of the World Champion 1983 Baltimore Orioles. A 100th Anniversary patch on left sleeve and the Orioles logo on the right sleeve. What collection would not be enhanced by a jersey from 2001, Ripken's last season, signed by "The Iron Man" himself?
