2002 Cammi Granato USA Game Worn USA Women's Olympic Hockey Jersey

2002 Cammi Granato USA Game Worn USA Women's Olympic Hockey Jersey

This game-worn jersey comes from one of the most celebrated women's hockey players of all time, Cammi Granato, during her 2002 run with Team USA at the Salt Lake City games. Ultimately, Granato and the U.S. played second fiddle to Team Canada after a controversial gold-medal game, but the defeat did little to blemish Granato's powerhouse career. Four years earlier, she won gold at the Nagano Olympics and retired as Team USA's all-time leading scorer with 186 goals. She has been enshrined in the International Hockey Hall of Fame and the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, and was also one of the first women to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010. Granato has also won the Lester Patrick Award in 2007 for "outstanding service to hockey in the United States." The jersey is all-original and shows use in the form of stick marks and pilling. A size 50 Nike tag can be found in the collar with a "W" for woman's size, alongside a USA Hockey and IIHF tag. "GRANATO" is sewn on a plate on the back with a "21" on both sleeves and back, as well as a captain's "C" on the left chest. The jersey is signed in 7/10 gold on the front by the 2002 Women's Olympic hockey team.
