Big Mike was moving toward the record for home runs by a catcher, basting 33 big flies in 2002, the last time the big lug has been relatively healthy over the long haul of the season. This piece of lumber may have spanked a few of those 'taters. The Rawlings Big Stick signature model has "31" hand-written in black marker on both knob and barrel end and a blue center ring. It also carries Piazza's prized signature on the barrel in blue marker, grading 8/10. Some telltale ball and cleat markings on an otherwise clean, uncracked and nearly glowing blonde bat.
