2003-04 Tampa Bay Lightning Prince of Wales Trophy
The 2003-04 NHL season saw a young Tampa Bay Lighting team go on a thrilling run that resulted in the franchise's first Stanley Cup. Here we have the spoils of their Eastern Conference Finals victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. This version of the Prince of Wales trophy was awarded to members of the team's staff, and this one in particular was from Phil Thibodeau, who was the Director of Team Services. This 43-oz trophy stands 11" tall with a 4.5" x 4.5" wood base. Inscribed on the metal plaque is "M.R.H., Prince Of Wales Trophy Phil Thibodeau." On the opposite side is "NHL Champions Tampa Bay Lighting 2003-04." It is NRMT but for the missing emblem on the top lid.
