2003 Alfonso Soriano Game Used and BP Used Bats
Pair of Alfonso Soriano bats, one game used and the other from BP sessions, during 2003, hs last year the Yankees before going to the Rangers in the Alex Rodriguez deal. BP stick is a blonde Sam Bat AS12 -- the Rideau Crusher maple unit popularized by Barry Bonds -- and at 35" is three-quarters of an inch longer than the black game-used Louisville Slugger M356, as a shorter bat is needed to get around on faster real-game pitching. BP bat also has pine tar more than halfway up, which would be illegal in a game. Both bats have taped handles and plentiful use, and the BP bat has markings and the date "9-17-03" in the barrel's hollowed top.
