2005-2006 Junior Lessard Iowa Stars Game Worn Jersey (MeiGray LOA)
Displayed is a 2005-06 Lucien "Junior" Lessard game worn Iowa Stars hockey jersey. Lessard is a Canadian right wing/center who played college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Lessard had a tremendous senior season at Minnesota Duluth, scoring 32 goals and adding 31 assists to lead the NCAA in scoring and win the Hobey Baker Award as college hockey's best player. Lessard signed with the NHL's Dallas Stars, but he spent most of his professional career in the American Hockey League, mainly with the top farm team of Dallas, the Iowa Stars. In 2005-06, the season Lessard wore this jersey for the Iowa Stars, Junior played 66 games, scoring 26 goals and adding 31 assists for 57 points. Lessard played in parts of three seasons with the NHL's Dallas Stars and part of one season with the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring three goals in 27 games. His professional career was cut short by injuries. The green jersey has gold, black and white trim. The front reads "Iowa Stars" with a green star trimmed with gold, white and green. The left front has a patch reading "Iowa Stars 2005-2006 Inaugural Season." The right front has a patch reading "The WB '23' KPWB" (Iowa Stars' TV and radio patch). The neck has a Reebok patch that reads "Authentic on-Ice jersey of the AHL." Another neck patch reads "Made in Canada" and indicates the size as "56." Each sleeve has a Iowa Star patch and the numeral "20" in gold, with black and white trim. The top back has a "Reebok" patch. The back has a green nameplate that reads "LESSARD" in white letters. The back has "20" in gold numerals with black and white trim. On the bottom left back outside right tail is a Reebok patch and an AHL patch. The inside tail has a Maska "Air-Knit" patch that indicates that the jersey is 100% polyester. There is a fight strap, and the lower, rear tail has a "MeiGrayGroup" patch. The neck has drawstrings. The jersey is in excellent condition, and it shows good wear. There are three small holes in the lower right sleeve some loose threads, and a few small stains. The jersey comes with a MeiGrayGroup LOA.
