2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship Ring
This tremendous, glittering ring celebrating Tony Stewart's championship in the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series was awarded to team member Joshua Davis, who was an engine room technician. The Jostens size 6.5 ring is 10 Karat white gold with Cubic Zirconias on top and in NRMT condition. The number 20 floats in the center of the face with "NASCAR NEXTEL CUP CHAMPION 2005" encircling the face. The left shank has Davis' name along with a Home Depot logo and "JOE GIBBS RACING" underneath. The right shank has Stewart's engraved signature and racecar along with the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series logo. Stewart was the dominant driver going into the 10-race "playoff" with five wins, having amassed a 209-point lead over his nearest competitor. Stewart - who has won titles in Indy cars and stock cars as well as midget, sprint and USAC Silver Crown cars - is also the only driver to win both the Winston Cup under the old points system and the Nextel Cup under the chase playoff format. 2005 was his second win in the latter.
