2006 Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Championship Ring w/Box
Official 2006 Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Championship staff ring comes with original cherrywood display box. According to the included appraisal letter from 2006, the ring is custom made of 14k white gold stamped "14K Intergold" with a Canes logo on the face comprised of seven dark blue baguette cut sapphires, and 11 baguette cut medium-dark violet-red burmese rubies amid a setting of round brilliant-cut diamonds. Total of 27 diamonds weigh approximately 0.40 carats. Bezel reads Stanley Cup Champions, left shank has the recipient's name with team logo and year below; right shank reads "Carolina Hurricanes" across the top, a relief of the Stanley Cup, the team's secondary logo, and the NHL shield logo. Size 9 ring weighs 34.35 grams, display box has glass top reads "Carolina Hurricanes 2006 Stanley Cup Champions." The '05-06 title was actually the second in franchise history but first in North Carolina, with the previous one coming in 1973 as the WHA's New England Whalers.
