The 2011 Indy 500 will be remembered for its historic finish. Rookie driver J.R. Hildebrand led the race, but slammed into the wall on the final turn of the final lap despite his nearest challenger nowhere close enough to pass him. Dan Wheldon took advantage and stole the victory, with Hildebrand limping to a second-place finish. This Professional Bell M2 helmet was signed in person by 32 of the 33 starting drivers of the race, including winner Dan Wheldon and second-place finisher J.R. Hildebrand. The only signature missing is that of Paul Tracy. Signatures are in black Sharpie and rate 8/10 overall. All signatures were obtained in person for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame charity. Helmet is NRMT.
