This extremely rare halter was worn by 2017 Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming and emanates from WinStar Farm, where the champion continues his stud career. The son of the promising stallion and 2012 Kentucky Derby and Preakness runner-up Bodemeister, Always Dreaming entered the 2017 Triple Crown season as the commanding winner of the Florida Derby and a strong contender in a wide-open race on the first Saturday in May. By post-time, Always Dreaming emerged as the betting favorite, and the bay colt did not disappoint his wagering constituents, earning a 2 3/4-length victory over a sloppy track at Churchill Downs.The Always Dreaming halter features a brass plate engraved with the wearer's name. It bears marks of everyday use you would expect in a stallion barn and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by WinStar stallion manager Larry McGinnis.
