2020 Panini Immaculate Collection #J-MM Mickey Mantle Game Used Cleat 2/2
"Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run," said Mickey Mantle. "I said, 'Sure, every time.'" Mantle did succeed in hitting a homer, his 500th., on Sunday, May 14, 1967, when he joined the 500-home run club. Mantle's New York Yankees were at home in Yankee Stadium against the Baltimore Orioles. Mickey hit his historic 500th home run deep to the right field off Oriole relief pitcher, and game loser, Stu Miller. As stated on the back of the Panini plastic holder, the cleat segment is Mickey Mantle Fantasy Camp material provided by the Mantle family estate and guaranteed by Panini America, Inc. The cleat segment is approximately 2x3", and is encased in a Panini Immaculate Collection holder, marked 2/2. The black cleat segment has a label and raised logo that reads, "Puma". The segment is numbered "J-MM". Hall of Famer Mantle's name signifies power, and a segment of his cleat is a valuable keepsake from one of baseball's best sluggers.
