3-18-2003 Mario Lemieux Game Worn Jersey
It’s so great when we can pinpoint the exact game in which a jersey was used. Such is the case with this fabulous home white mesh Pittsburgh Penguins jersey worn by superstar Mario Lemieux. Aside from being one of the premier hockey jerseys you can own from this all time great, the Penguins’ chairman and star player, it has been inscribed on the fight strap in black marker, “3/18 defeat,” denoting the Pittsburgh Penguins loss to the Detroit Red Wings in Mellon Arena on March 18, 2003. Front is large skating penguin emblem with captain’s “C” sewn on the front left shoulder. Additional penguin head emblem sewn onto each shoulder. His legendary “66” is displayed on the back as well as each sleeve. “CCM” embroidered between the collar line and the nameplate on the back. Official NHL crest sewn in silver thread on the right side of the back tail. Nice use. “Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Authentic” tag in the collar is signed in black sharpie by the equipment manager, Steve Latin. Hanging below is the Made in Canada [size] 56 flag tag with Lemieux’s, “66c” written in black marker. Obtained directly from Lemieux.
