78 Various Mantle Cards Sent In From Collectors And Kept By Mickey
Amazing collection of 78 Mickey Mantle cards that were confiscated by the star near the end of his career, and shortly thereafter. These were sent in by naive collectors requesting The Mick’s signature, but needless to say, never got the autographs, or the cards back for that matter. Hopefully, most of these collector’s were too old to cry. Varied lot includes 1954 Red Heart, 1957T, 2-1958T AS, 1959T, 3-1959T #461, 3-1960T AS, 1961T MVP, 1961T #406, 1962T, 1962T AS, 1962T #318, 1964T, 1965T, 1965T #134, 8-1966T, 11-1967T, 10-1968T, 2-1968T Super Stars (both signed by Killebrew), 3-1968T Game, 22-1969T and three early 1960’s Post cards. Condition is Fair to Excellent, with most somewhere in the middle. Maybe some of you old time pack rats out there will recognize a card or two of The Commerce Comet’s that you mailed to him in the decade of Happy Faces and mini skirts. Sorry, but you can’t blame USPS this time.
