8/5/95 Cal Ripken Jr. Game Used Baseball from Consecutive Game #2100
Interesting collectible was game used in 1995 during game 2,100 of Cal Ripken Jr's miraculous consecutive game streak of 2,632. Official American League (Budig) ball shows nice use with scuffing, and written in blue ballpoint ink on a side panel is, "Game Ball - 8-5-1995 - Cal Ripken's 2100 consecutive game vs. Mil," under which is signed Bret Barberie. A journeyman infielder, Barberie pinch hit in the 9th inning of that contest, hitting a double and scoring as the Orioles mounted a 3-run rally for a 6-5 walkoff victory. Nice milestone piece of one of the most amazing statistical feats in professional sports history.
