961 Fleer Basketball Unopened Wax Box w/Wilt Chamberlain Rookie Showing (BBCE)
<p>A quarter-century before they created their acclaimed 1986 basketball set with the iconic Michael Jordan Rookie card, Fleer entered the market with a 66-card set in its inaugural 1961-62 series. As difficult as it can be to find cards from that set in high grade form, it is truly rare to find an unopened box such as the one available here. BBCE wrapped with included Letter of Authenticity, the wax box contains 24 wax packs which have been deemed to be in NM condition overall, with several keys visible on top and bottom. The most exceptional pack contains the #8 Wilt Chamberlain Rookie on top and #36 Oscar Robertson Rookie on bottom, providing two of the set's key cards in one wrapper. Cards showing on the top of the packs include #36 Oscar Robertson Rookie, and #47 Wilt Chamberlain In-Action, while bottom of the packs include #38 Bill Russell, #62 Bill Russell In-Action, #61 Oscar Robertson In-Action. Should one dare to break open these treasured scarcities, it's difficult to overstate the potential as only 103 cards of nearly 30,000 in the PSA registry have attained GEM MT 10 status to date.
