982 Cal Ripken Jr. First Game of Record Setting Streak Ticket Stub PSA VG-EX 4 (Pop 1 - Two Higher!)

Cal Ripken, Jr. authored one of the most famous streaks in all of sports, appearing in 2,632 consecutive games between 1982 and 1998. The eventual "Iron Man" began his remarkable streak quite unassumingly on May 30, 1982, in Baltimore as he played third base during a 6-0 loss to Toronto. From that seemingly insignificant game comes this quite uncommon May 30, 1982, Toronto vs. Baltimore ticket stub. Most likely rare due to the fact that no one suspected that May 30, 1982, was going to be the first game of the greatest streak Major League Baseball would ever see, tickets of this magnitude are rare today. As we all know, Cal Ripken went on to shatter Lou Gehrig's record on September 6, 1995, then decided himself not to play on September 20, 1998, putting an official end to "The Streak." This hobby fresh ticket has been graded and encapsulated VG-EX 4 PSA. With only seven of these stubs having ever been graded by PSA, this unique example is the only PSA 4 with only two higher currently in PSA Population Report.
