Belonged to legendary 4-time Indianapolis 500 winner, A.J. Foyt, Jr., an Indy type suit used by Foyt in his regular season races in the Champion Auto Racing Teams series. All original, made of flame resistant Nomex by Bell/Racestar Company, white with red stripe down sides and zipper-front. “A.J. Foyt, Jr.” sewn on patch on left breast. Adorned with Goodyear, Champion, Valvoline, & Bell Racestar sponsor patches, plus the Gilmore Foyt Racing Team patches. “Goodyear Gilmore Foyt Racing” embroidered on verso. American flag patch on right shoulder. Tagged with “Racestar Nomex” in collar. Originally obtained from the Gilmore Racing Team Owner, Jim Gilmore, Jr. who donated it for auction. Comes with LOA and a photo of Foyt wearing a suit of similar style.
