AL Unser Sr. & Al Unser Jr. Race Worn Suits
Before there were the Earnhardts there were the Unsers, racing’s original father and son double act. Together their reign has lasted over three decades and included six victories at the Brickyard. Al Sr.’s red “Simpson” quilted uniform is embroidered with “Miller High Life” across the chest and back, with additional “Good Year” on verso, and adorned with various other sponsorship patches. Worn during the season of 1984, as indicated by the “[set] 1 84” flag tag in the collar, it displays good use. The blue suit, of the same make, was donned by his son in 1981 during some of his earliest races as a pro. “Al Unser Jr.” in stitched in white on the right chest with “Galles” running directly below and on the reverse, in the matching blue chain-stitch is “Galles, Chevrolet”.
