Albert Spalding Signed Letter (1911)

Albert Spalding Signed Letter (1911)

Notes: The 4.5 x 7.5’’ note written in steel tip fountain pen is dated Oct 10, 1911 and reads “To Frank Eveland who knows more about automobiles and less about Base Ball than anyone I know of. Read this book Frank and you will know the real game. With the compliments of Al Spalding.” The piece of paper used for the note is most likely the fly page to the book “America’s National Game” by Spalding as evident by the content. Frank Eveland was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Spalding-Bidwell Company and set an automobile record by going 152 miles in 16 hours from Springfield MA to NY City in 1900. LOA

Condition: All writing is bold and legible. Bold ink signature.
