American Pharoah Horseshoe Nail from Breeders Cup & Lock of His Mane

American Pharoah Horseshoe Nail from Breeders Cup & Lock of His Mane

The first Triple Crown winner in four decades and the only horse to earn the title of Grand Slam champion, American Pharaoh is the horse of a lifetime, capturing the hearts of a nation. With his magical 5 1/2 length runaway Belmont Stakes victory, he claimed the elusive Triple Crown, instantly making American Pharoah a household name. He won nine races from just 11 starts and amassed earnings of $8,650,300 – culminated by this smashing, farewell victory in the 2015 Breeders’ Cup. This collection of American Pharoah memorabilia features one of his horseshoe nails used during his apex victory in the BC Classic and a genuine lock of his tail hair. The nail was personally acquired from his farrier immediately after his race shoes were removed (photos taken during the shoeing are included). The 7x9" plaques are solid bamboo with specially-designed artwork. The plaque recognizes the nail to be #1 of 5 acquired on the afternoon of November 1st, 2015, one day prior to traveling to Coolmore Stud to begin his career as one of the most anticipated stallions in recent history.
