A.P. Indy's Kentucky Derby Stall Guard (Webbing).
Talk about a regal bloodline! A.P. Indy was sired by Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew and out of mare Weekend Surprise, who was herself sired by another Triple Crown winner: Secretariat. A.P. Indy is a champion stallion whose career is arguably the greatest in the history of horse racing ... certainly on par with Man O' War, Seattle Slew and Mr. Prospector. And not only as a sire but as a sire of sires. The thoroughbred racehorse was scratched on the morning of the 1992 Kentucky Derby but was there training, and this stall guard was used on his stall to identify him. The rubber guard measures 35.5" x 14.5" and brandishes the 118th Kentucky Derby logo. A.P. Indy was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2000, and since being retired to stud has sired hundreds of winning thoroughbreds, including over 140 stakes winners. Guess he has earned the right to boast about his offspring!
