April 9, 2000, Ed Olczyk Last Game Worn Jersey
Veteran center Ed Olczyk wore this white Blackhawks jersey during the very last game of his stellar 16-year career on April 9, 2000. It was obtained during Chicago's "Shirt Off Their Back" night at the United Center and comes with a photo of Olczyk presenting the jersey to the lucky fan. Also included in the lot is the fan's ticket stub to the game and an LOA from the Chicago Blackhawks. The white home jersey shows one game's worth of use, including a few light stick marks which can also be seen in the photo of him presenting the jersey. It is all original with Pro Player size 54 tag in collar, an NHL 2000 patch on the right side of the chest area and his name sewn on a plate on the back with "16" below. It is signed in 6/10 black Sharpie on the front: "Eddie Olczyk 16, G.W. 4/9/2000." The hometown center's career came full circle the night he wore this jersey as the journeyman closed out his career with the organization that had drafted him third overall in 1984.
