are 1919 World Series Press Ticket - One of Two Known Examples (PSA)

Tremendous artifact from one of the most infamous incidents in sportshistory in this 1919 World Series Press Ticket. This yellow-orange ticket stubmeasures roughly 3.75x2.5" and has been very neatly torn at theperforation. Front reads in part, "1919 World's Championship Series -Redland Field - Cincinnati," along with the admonition, "POSITIVELY NOTTRANSFERABLE" and the name of the recipient handwritten. It is possiblethat there is some toning (hard to tell based on the color), but it hasan EX appearance on front as the stampings are immaculate and clear, andthere are no blemishes evident except for a tiny approximately0.5x0.25" strip of paper loss on the otherwise blank back. Encapsulatedby PSA as STUB AUTHENTIC, it was valid for all games at Cincinnatiincluding the all-important Game 1, as the Chicago White Sox would godown in history as the team that threw the World Series, invoking thefamous "Black Sox" moniker. The age and World Series connection makethis a prime collectible to begin with, but adding the tie-in to the "EightMen Out" Black Sox scandal makes it virtually one-of-a-kind, as we are aware of only one other which has surfaced to date.
