Assortment of Kentucky Derby Winners' Subsequent Racing Programs (9)

This scarce grouping of original and vintage track programs contains nine Kentucky Derby winners in assorted races well after their famed victories at Churchill Downs. Original track programs from the era featuring any Kentucky Derby winner are difficult to find and those documenting their participation in other famed races following the Run for the Roses are among the most collectible pieces of racing ephemera.

The collection includes the programs of two Triple Crown winners: 1946 winner Assault headlining Pimlico's Dixie Handicap and 1977 champion SeattLe Slew in his final career start in the Stuyvesant Handicap. Other notable horses in the offering include the father/son Derby winning duo of Determine (1954) in the Debonair Stakes and Decidedly (1962) in the Santa Anita Handicap, as well as 1951 winner Count Turf in the Salton Sea Stakes, Calumet Farm’s 1952 winner Hill Gail in the Lincoln’s Birthday Handicap, and 1959 victor Tomy Lee in the San Carlos Handicap. The grouping also features 1963 winner Chateaugay in the famed Travers Stakes at Saratoga, and the popular 1988 champion filly Winning Colors in the Maskette Stakes.
