Extreme Beatlemania ensued at Sam Houston Coliseum during both sold-out concerts as 24,000 fans erupted in near-riot frenzy. This bedlam can be heard on the widely circulated recordings. KLIF disc jockey and concert MC Russ "The Weird Beard" Knight is heard trying to calm the crowd repeatedly, most notably when Ringo's bass drum is being put into place on the stage. This full, unused over-sized ticket to the afternoon show has been laminat-ed. It was obtained from the son of the concert's pro-moter, Bruce Weaver.
