Complete personal check, drawn on the "Adirondack National Bank", has been filled out and signed by "Matty" in perfect (10/10) black fountain pen ink. Dated, "Nov. 3, [19]24", Mathewson used the offered bank draft to pay Two Dollars to the "Capitol Hotel Company". Autographs of 'Matty" are tough to come by in any form, and cancelled checks seldom turn up for sale. The offered specimen is exceptionally clean and remains in Near Mint (NM) or better condition overall, save for two light fold lines that run through the center of the piece (these in no way affect the signature). Quite possibly the nicest Mathewson check that we have ever handled.
